Description

Nurse Practitioner needed in California for Family Practice coverage. Must be Board Certified, have current DEA, and CA state license and furnishing license. Shifts will be Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30. Preference to local candidate. Will see 22-25 patients per day, depending on the day and patient population is working adults, ages 18-65. Must be comfortable with working with law enforcement, high percentage of patients are first responders: Fire, Police, Paramedics, Dispatchers. NRCME certification needed, able to perform DOT physicals. Must have some orthopedic knowledge and be able to suture. Should be adaptable, willing to see walk-in new injuries and be comfortable wearing PPE. At the moment there is a great deal of smoke in the area so position may not be optimal for someone with respiratory conditions. Support staff includes administrative support and medical assistants. Part-time medical specialists on staff available for consult including Psychiatrist and Orthopedic Surgeon.
