img_6244CompHealth's Grand Rapids office recently partnered with artist Dwayne Szot to make art accessible to all at Grand Rapids, Michigan's annual ArtPrize event. Dwayne Szot focuses on making art pieces that anyone, including those in wheelchairs or that require walkers, can participate in creating. They create large murals using unique tools that give full control of the creation to the artists, whether they be young or old and regardless of their ability. Once the murals are completed they are cut into one of a kind art cards and boxes that are handed out to participants and attendees at the event. CompHealth's therapists work with people with disabilities every day. The opportunity to let people, and especially kids with disabilities, participate in the creation of this art was a lot of fun as the images below prove. Check them out.
