SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (30 November 2012) —CompHealth employees celebrated Thanksgiving by hosting a holiday food drive and collecting and donating 3,676 pounds of food to Utah Food Bank.

"The Holiday Food Drive is one of the easiest ways to promote the issue of hunger in Utah," said Ginette Bott, chief marketing officer at the Utah Food Bank. "Holiday giving helps our organization remind people that hunger knows no season and giving should be practiced all year."

Comphealth executives put a twist on the generic corporate food drive, challenging employees to not only bring in as many cans of food as they could to donate, but also to create a sculpture using the cans. Soon, models of the Titanic, pumpkin pie, turkeys and even a tribute to Hostess materialized around the office. Leaders at
CompHealth judged each sculpture based on creativity and awarded the Allied Business Partner team first place for their creation of a winter wonderland.

"I think the thing that most inspired me, both in the sculpture and the desire to contribute, was the idea of family," said Erin Walton, a member of the winning team. "It is the time of year when having and not having become very apparent and nothing makes you feel at home like a warm meal and sitting with the ones you love,
enjoying the season. Thinking of both of those images made this food drive the best of both worlds, allowing us to provide food and a sense of family to those who needed it."
