The new year has begun, and if you are like most Americans, you sat down and created some New Year's resolutions (of which only 8 percent of you will fully acheive). All of us have good intentions though, right? The turning of the calendar brings hope for new possibilities in a new year. But according to the University of Scranton's Journal of Clinical Psychology, that hope seems to fade with most of us before we get to February. That means if your resolution is to lose weight (#1 on the list of Top 10 resolutions), give it a couple of weeks and the gym will quiet down. Here is the Top 10 list:

  4. Enjoy life to the fullest
  5. Staying fit and healthy
  6. Learn something exciting
  7. Quit smoking
  8. Help others in their dreams
