A new medical director position is available to lead and develop a new program in eastern Tennessee. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday with daytime hours that are flexible from 8 am to 4 pm or similar depending on the day and meetings or responsibilities. There will be minimal to no call as the NPs will cover that. The position is approximately 60% patient care and 40% administrative/training responsibilities. See palliative patients (high acuity) at the hospital or at post-acute facilities. They are looking physicians with palliative or palliative/hospice experience that can continue to grow the program with strong support from administration, hospital medicine team, specialists, advanced practice providers, and the clinical team. A fellowship trained palliative/hospice candidate is preferred, but they will consider a non-fellowship if the candidate has 3 plus years of experience.
