Description

An outpatient adult psychiatrist with an academic component opportunity is available in Pennsylvania. This is an educational, medical, and administrative position with a responsibility for quality of patient care, teaching, and supervision of resident physicians. The incoming psychiatrist will focus on prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and emotional disorders in the elderly and improvement of psychiatric care for healthy and ill patients. Work 40 hours per week with 8 hours of administrative time. Candidates can be board certified or board eligible. Final year residents and fellows will also be considered. In addition to a competitive compensation, you will also be offered medical and dental benefits, long-term disability, 4 weeks of PTO, relocation/sign-on stipend, 5 days of CME with a stipend, a 403(b) retirement plan with employer contribution after 1 year, and malpractice with tail coverage. You will enjoy working in Jermyn, located 10 miles north of Scranton, 1 of the largest cities in Pennsylvania. Jermyn is a borough in Lackawanna County, on the Lackawanna River.
