Hospitalist
JOB-3022951
Physicians here have the independence to make clinical decisions while being supported by a strong interdisciplinary team, including a lead medical director, nurse practitioner/physician assistant, and on-site medical coordinators. This position is a better alternative for hospitalists at the same pay – Unlike traditional hospitalist shifts that require being tied to a facility for 12+ hours, SNFs have flexible and efficient schedules. Physicians typically spend 2.5 – 4 hours at the facility to round on patients, check in with nursing leadership, sign documentation, and then leave. Charting can be done from home, and they only need to be available via phone/text during their 8-hour shift for consults, orders, or nursing questions. This allows for a better work-life balance compared to the rigid structure of inpatient hospital work.
This role involves managing a broad range of medical conditions and rehabilitation cases, keeping clinical work engaging and dynamic. There are potential pathways to medical directorship for the right candidate, offering career advancement within a growing practice. Be prepared to raise the quality of care in the skilled facilities profession and stand apart from your peers.
