Quick Facts

Monday – Saturday with 24-hour call
8am – 12pm scheduled clinical hours with IP call following
5 – 10 procedures in hospital per day
5 – 20 patients seen during call with 2 – 10 admissions
Upper and lower GI endoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
ERCP and PEG procedures required
Foreign body removal and injection of varices
20% callback rate with average 5 phone consults per 24 hours
