A nonprofit health system in Western North Carolina is seeking a Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy services across its community health clinics. This leadership role oversees pharmacy operations, clinical services, and the 340B drug pricing program, helping ensure medication access for underserved patients. The Director will collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and dental leaders to support integrated, whole-person care while also providing direct pharmacy services when needed. This is a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no weekends or holidays, offering excellent work-life balance.
Candidates must have a PharmD and an active North Carolina pharmacist license at the time of application. A minimum of 8+ years of pharmacist experience is required, including 5+ years in leadership and at least 1 year managing a 340B program. Experience in FQHCs, community health centers, ambulatory care pharmacy, or serving underserved populations is strongly preferred along with having 340B training/certifications.
This opportunity is located in a beautiful mountain community in Western North Carolina, known for its vibrant arts scene, outdoor recreation, and strong sense of community. The area provides a high quality of life with easy access to larger metro areas in the Southeast. The position offers a salary range of approximately $150,000–$175,000 plus strong benefits including retirement with employer match, generous PTO, CME support, paid holidays, and eligibility for state and federal loan repayment programs.
