Quick Facts

  • 24-hour call coverage — 5 to 10 days per month on an ongoing basis
  • 4 – 6 surgeries per week in addition to locums coverage
  • Hospital-based neurosurgery position
  • Common procedures: ACDF, lumbar fusion, lumbar discectomy, laminectomy
  • Less common: spinal cord stimulator, kyphoplasty, carpal tunnel decompression
  • On-call cases include emergent burr hole or craniectomy through the ER
  • Hospital privileges required
