A regional teaching hospital in Western Texas is seeking two Clinical Pharmacy Specialists to support Internal Medicine, Med Surg, and ICU service lines within a highly collaborative acute care environment. These 8on6off daytime roles begin at 6am and involve multidisciplinary rounding, trauma response, participation in progressive clinical pharmacy initiatives, educating staff, etc. The pharmacy department operates within a decentralized model and offers strong autonomy, physician engagement, residency involvement, and a supportive leadership structure. Compensation is competitive for the area and they also provide a generous sign-on bonus and relocation assistance of up to $30K depending.
Candidates must possess a Texas pharmacist license (or be eligible to obtain prior to starting) along with either a PGY1 residency or 3+ years of hospital clinical specialist experience. PGY2 training in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting, enjoy multidisciplinary collaboration, and feel comfortable managing medically complex trauma and ICU patients. Board certification is required within 3 years of hire, and ACLS certification is required within 3 months for applicable roles.
