  • Surgical volumes — approx. 3,100 per year; cytology 200 per year
  • 9 – 10 procedures per week — frozen sections, sentinel nodes, lungs
  • Ortho PMN counts, skin, brain procedures included
  • Peripheral smears — less than 1 per week
  • High case load facility
  • General surgical pathology skills required
  • Hospital privileges required
