Clinical Pharmacist
JOB-3355601
A stable, community-focused critical access hospital in rural southern Oregon, just minutes from the California and Nevada borders, is seeking a Director of Pharmacy to lead its pharmacy department. This hands-on leadership role also functions as a working Clinical Pharmacist, overseeing the full medication-use process, ensuring safe and effective pharmacologic care, driving quality initiatives, and collaborating closely with medical staff, nursing, and hospital leadership. The organization offers a supportive, tight-knit team environment, a true Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no weekends, and the opportunity to make a meaningful, visible impact in a close-knit community.
Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor's in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred) and be Oregon licensed or license-eligible prior to starting. A minimum of one year of post-degree hospital pharmacist experience is required, along with working knowledge of contemporary hospital/clinical pharmacy practice; recent hospital pharmacy leadership experience in a similarly sized facility is strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working and living in a small, rural community and bring strong interdepartmental collaboration skills.
Set in Oregon's high desert country at the edge of the Warner Mountains, this scenic mountain community offers a true small-town lifestyle with clean country living, no stoplights, and abundant year-round recreation including fishing, hunting, hiking, golf, and hang-gliding. Residents enjoy a relaxed, suburban-rural pace of life, above-average public schools, and easy access to nearby metro areas for additional amenities.
