Description

An award-winning academic medical center in the Boston area is seeking a Director of Pharmacy & Clinical Nutrition to lead a large, complex pharmacy department across acute care and ambulatory operations. This system-level leadership role oversees clinical services, regulatory compliance, fiscal management, staff development, and strategic planning, while serving as a key voting member on local and system Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees. The organization is home to one PGY1 and six PGY2 pharmacy residency programs, an integrated specialty pharmacy, and a health plan managing over 400,000 lives — offering a rare opportunity to shape pharmacy practice at a nationally recognized health system with a 150+ year mission of exceptional, equitable care.

Qualified candidates must hold a PharmD from an accredited U.S. pharmacy school and be able to obtain Massachusetts pharmacist licensure prior to starting. A minimum of 5 years of pharmacy department supervisory experience is required, including at least 2 years as an Assistant Director at an organization with a residency program up to the PGY2 level in Pharmacy Administration. An MS, MBA, MHA, or MPH is preferred. Strong communicators with a patient-centered orientation and current knowledge of national medication and healthcare trends will thrive in this role.

Located in the heart of one of the nation's premier academic and healthcare hubs, this vibrant coastal city offers world-class dining, professional sports, rich history, top-tier cultural attractions, and easy access to a major international airport. Residents enjoy a dynamic urban lifestyle with diverse neighborhoods and abundant opportunities for professional and personal growth.
