Ready to take your critical care pharmacy career to the next level? Join a top ranked regional teaching hospital in Northern Virginia as a Surgical ICU Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in the care of critically ill surgical patients at a Level II trauma center. This 100% clinical position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes, collaborate directly with physicians and nurses, and precept pharmacy residents and students as graduate medical education programs continue to expand. You’ll join a supportive, team-oriented pharmacy department where collaboration, professional growth, and high-quality patient care are priorities. The full-time schedule is primarily weekdays, with an 8 a.m.–4 p.m. or 9 a.m.–5 p.m. shift and every sixth weekend currently required. Generous annual compensation ranges from approximately $140,000 to $210,000, with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Candidates must have a PharmD and PGY2 residency training in Critical Care or equivalent experience. Strong critical-thinking and communication skills are essential. Retail-only experience will not qualify, and visa sponsorship is unavailable. Must be ready/able to obtain a Virginia pharmacist license prior to starting if one is not already held at time of application.
The Northern Virginia region offers historic communities, outdoor recreation, and convenient access to both Washington, DC, and Richmond, VA.
