Description

A nationally recognized 336-bed hospital in Seattle seeks a physician leader to establish and direct a new Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This unique opportunity offers significant autonomy to build a CVICU program from the ground up while providing advanced critical care for high volumes of cardiogenic shock, ECMO, mechanical circulatory support, open-heart surgery, and complex structural heart cases.

The Medical Director will collaborate with Advanced Heart Failure, Structural Heart, Electrophysiology, and Cardiothoracic Surgery teams while overseeing clinical operations, quality initiatives, and strategic program growth. The role includes dedicated administrative time for leadership and program development, along with participation in education and research within a health system comprising 11 hospitals and nearly 300 care sites across the Puget Sound region.

Candidates must have an MD/DO with residency and fellowship training in cardiology, critical care, anesthesiology, or surgery, board certification, extensive cardiac critical care experience, and demonstrated leadership in administration, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary team management.
