Shifts run 5:00 PM – 5:00 PM with offsite call after morning rounding
Census: 6 — rounding on adult and pediatric patients
Hospital setting — no NICU on site
Must perform well baby exams and stabilize newborns post C-section
Backup to the ED in emergencies
Vents required in emergent situations only — very rare
ACLS and PALS certification required
