Quick Facts

  • Monday – Friday; three 12-hr shifts or four 10-hr days (preferred)
  • Rotating call — one weekend per month and 1:4 weeknight call
  • 100% pediatric patient population
  • Hospital setting — OR and rounding
  • First assist team: one fellow, one tech, and three PAs
  • Required: pediatric cardiac surgical first assist experience
  • Procedures include heart transplant, VAD, ECMO, PDA ligation, and more
  • ~2 pulmonary artery reconstruction cases per month — procedures exceed 24 hrs
