Hospitalist
JOB-3383723
Are you looking for a stable, long-term nocturnist position where you can combine clinical practice with teaching while enjoying an exceptional quality of life just outside New York City? A well-respected, not-for-profit community teaching hospital in coastal Connecticut is seeking a full-time nocturnist to join its established hospital medicine team.
This 300-bed teaching hospital is affiliated with a nationally recognized medical school and offers an engaging academic environment where physicians play an active role in resident education. The incoming physician will provide supervision, consultation, and teaching for internal medicine and family medicine residents while also supporting inpatient medical services throughout the hospital. With an average of only five admissions per physician per night and the support of two to three other nocturnists working alongside you each shift, this position offers a collaborative and manageable practice environment.
Physicians enjoy a highly desirable 7-on/7-off schedule, a closed ICU, EPIC EMR, market-competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
The organization is known for valuing its physicians and employees, offering unique perks designed to support work-life balance, including concierge services that can assist with everyday tasks such as vehicle maintenance appointments, event tickets, personal errands, and more.
Located in one of Connecticut's most desirable communities, this opportunity offers the best of both worlds: access to New York City in about an hour via car or commuter rail, combined with the charm, safety, and amenities of an upscale New England community. The area features highly rated public and private schools, beautiful waterfronts, abundant parks and recreation, a vibrant walkable downtown, excellent restaurants, outdoor cafés, farmers markets, and a thriving cultural scene.
The ideal candidate will be board certified or board eligible in internal medicine, possess or be eligible for CT licensure, and have recent inpatient experience with a stable work history. This is a permanent position with a desired start date within the next 90 to 120 days.
Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available.
