Quick Facts

  • Day shift: 7 am – 5 pm; night shift: 5 pm – 7 am — with backup call
  • 7 days in a row — up to 21 days per month
  • 10 – 20 patients per shift — inpatient and outpatient rounding
  • Clinic held Tuesday and Thursday
  • Day team: two surgeons and two APPs covering ICU, trauma, and floors
  • Night team: one surgeon and one APP cover the full service
  • Required: chest tube insertion, central line insertion, PA catheter placement
  • Trauma/Surgical Critical Care fellowship required
