A large, nationally recognized academic medical center is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead its central pharmacy. This role oversees distribution for the entire medical center, including acute care units, diagnostic and procedural areas, clinics, and an ambulatory infusion center. You’ll manage a team of 35 direct reports and own regulatory compliance, safe medication dispensing, non-sterile compounding, prepackaging, and medication storage. You’ll also serve in the Administrator On Duty rotation and help lead disaster and emergency preparedness planning, while partnering with physicians, nursing, and hospital leadership on process improvement and medication safety.
A background in pharmacy operations is required, along with a PGY1 or PGY2 residency or equivalent, and board certification is a plus. This position is ideal for a pharmacy leader who enjoys developing people, teaching and precepting students and residents, and driving workflow improvements with automation and technology. The role is full time, day shift, and exempt, with base pay of $160,638 to $281,112 and a full benefits package.
