CompHealth physicians provide healthcare in Kenya
October 4th, 2017 1 Min read
Thanks to a generous grant from the Making a Difference Foundation, CHG Healthcare was able to send three CompHealth physicians on a medical mission trip to Kenya. The three obstetricians, Dr. Gina Bell, Dr. Adaobi Okonkwo and Dr. Peter Kim, spent their time working in the Baraka Health Clinic located in the Narok South District of Kenya and serves approximately 30,000 community members. The clinic was established by the We Charity, who CHG partnered with on this trip.
While there, the physicians worked with their local counterparts to treat patients, conduct rounds, deliver babies and perform surgeries. In just five days, the team of CompHealth physicians treated more than 400 patients and delivered five babies, including a set of twins.

These physicians traveled with the winners of CHG's 2017 Difference Maker award. The trip to Kenya was a reward to CHG employees for their commitment to helping others in their community or around the world. While the physicians were serving patients, the CHG Difference Makers were helping build a school classroom and cafeteria and learning about the Kenyan culture.
Thank you to each of these physicians, as well as our Difference Makers, for serving the people of Kenya.
