Celebrating with AAPA in Toronto
June 5th, 2012 1 Min readWe just got back from an eventful week in Toronto, Ontario, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at AAPA Impact 2012, the PA organization's 40th annual conference.
It was great to be able to meet some of you face to face and to learn more about the physician assistant profession and its growing international demand. It was also amazing to see PAs come together from all different stages of their career and areas of the country (and globe!).
At our booth, visitors ranged from students gearing up for graduation to retired PAs, who were still very much contributing to the profession through locum tenens assignments and mentorship roles.
There were fun receptions, delicious food (anyone get to try the BBQ parfait at the food court?) and friendly school rivalries all happening under the Metro Toronto Convention Center roof this week. My personal favorite part of the conference would have to be the live Sheryl Crow music and the entertaining stilt walkers during the opening reception.
If you got a chance to make it up north this week, what was your favorite part of the meeting? Maybe it was even one of the squishy genie lamps CompHealth was giving out?
Whatever your experience, we'd love to hear about it. Feel free to visit us on Facebook or Twitter and tell us about your experience!
