March 30, 2012 -- For the seventh consecutive year, CompHealth was named as one of West Michigan's 101 "Best and Brightest Companies to Work For."

CompHealth scored in the 90th percentile among competing companies in the employee engagement and retention, achievement and recognition and communication categories.

"We understand that happy and engaged employees are the key to the success of our company," said Julie Ptak, director of CompHealth's allied health staffing division in Grand Rapids, which provides rehabilitation staffing solutions. "Each year we continue to strive toward achieving an even higher employee satisfaction score as it is a key indicator of increasing engagement levels."

The employees of CompHealth provide travel therapy assignments around the country for physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and respiratory therapists.

The competition, which is held annually by the Michigan Business and Professional Association, assesses competing organizations with tools designed to aid employers in evaluating strengths and weaknesses of their company, HR function, employee engagement levels and the identification and elimination of areas of concern. As a winning company, CompHealth received an assessment report providing their overall ranking in each category and will be recognized at an awards gala and symposium on May 3.

"We believe our success is directly correlated to our ability to adhere to our defining core value of putting people first each day in how we collaborate with each other and how we contribute to the community in which we live," Ptak said.
