Physician Assistant Workforce Study Shows Huge Growth
September 14th, 2011 0 Min readDid any of you get a chance to read the recent article from Health Leaders Media on the explosive growth of the Physician Assistant profession over the past 10 years? Pretty interesting statistics in regards to the impact these clinicians are having. I have read multiple articles and case studies discussing the fast paced growth for PAs, but the AAPA study the article references just confirms what we all feel. Whether that rate continues or not, the fact remains that PAs and other Advanced Practitioners are going to play a more impactful role in the U.S. healthcare system. Read the article here.
This growth is fantastic news for the current workforce as job demand will increase and Advanced Practitioner jobs will be more prevalent than ever before. The future continues to look bright for this profession and I am excited to see what the landscape looks like in 10 years!
